1707Every year, over 600,000 young people enter Uzbekistan's labor market, and by 2030, this figure is expected to reach 1 million. This was revealed on February 14 during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's dialogue with the youth of Uzbekistan at the "Kuksaroy" residence.
To address this growing demand, a youth support system has been established. Last year alone, 180,000 young people received assistance worth 345 billion sums through the "Youth Notebook" program.
Over the past 8 years, the number of young entrepreneurs has tripled, with youth now accounting for almost 40% of business representatives. Consequently, the rate of unemployed youth has halved, and the number of unemployment-free neighborhoods has risen to 1,889.
However, President Mirziyoyev also highlighted the persistent issue of high youth unemployment in Shorchi, Buvayda, Furkat, Kasbi, and Forish districts, attributing it to the negligence of local leaders.
Meanwhile, more than 1,500 Uzbek students are currently studying in top universities worldwide, showcasing the nation's growing investment in its youth.
