5084As of 1 October 2022, the balance of mortgage loans in Uzbekistan amounted to 43.2 trillion soms, an increase of almost 32% (10.4 trillion soms) compared to the corresponding period of 2021. This is stated in a review of mortgage loans of the Central Bank.
According to estimates, mortgage loans were allocated to 53,541 citizens during the 9th month of 2022, which is 68% more than the corresponding period of the previous year (6.1 trillion soms to 41,932 citizens during the 9th month of 2021) or 4,193.1 billion. increased by 10.3 trillion soms.
From this, 41,245 citizens were allocated 7.6 trillion soms from the funds of the Ministry of Finance, and 2.6 trillion soms were allocated to 11,351 citizens from bank funds.
8 trillion soms or 76% of the total mortgage loans allocated during this period (about people) were directed to houses in the primary market, and 2.3 trillion soms, or 24% were directed to houses in the secondary market. 41% of these loans (21,725 people) correspond to women.
It is noteworthy that the share of mortgage loans issued by banks from their funds in the total amount of mortgage loans issued in the 9th month of 2022 was 25.2 percent (2,608.8 billion soms), compared to the corresponding period of the previous year (654,1 billion soms, its share in total allocated mortgage loans is 11 percent) increased by 299 percent or 4 times.
During the 9th month of 2022, the share of mortgage loans allocated for the purchase of houses built by IK "Qishloq qurilish invest" and "Uzshahar qurilish invest" IK in the total allocated mortgage loans were 16.5 percent (1,705.4 billion soms) and this indicator was 23 percent (1,412.5 billion soms) in the corresponding period of the previous year, while in this period mortgages allocated within the framework of the "New Order" based on the market principles of providing housing to the population the share of loans increased from 46.5 percent (2 trillion 861.5 billion soms) to 57 percent (5 trillion 898.7 billion soms).
