On January 26, Uzbekistan recorded a new all-time high in the price of standard gold bullion, according to the Central Bank.
The Central Bank reported that a 5-gram gold bar is now priced at 10,036,000 sums, exceeding the 10-million-soum mark for the first time.
Current gold bullion prices are as follows:
• 5 grams – 10,036,000 sums
• 10 grams – 20,073,000 sums
• 20 grams – 40,146,000 sums
• 50 grams – 100,364,000 sums
• 100 grams – 200,728,000 sums

According to some sources, the sharp rise in gold prices is linked to uncertainty surrounding U.S. demands related to Greenland and the broader global political situation.
On the global market, gold prices have also reached a historic milestone, with the price per ounce exceeding $5,000 for the first time.
Earlier, on January 22, a 5-gram gold bar in Uzbekistan was priced at 9,717,000 sums.
