The price of diesel fuel will be reduced in Uzbekistan, as announced by Bahadir Siddikov, chairman of "Uzbekneftgaz".

He stated that during a meeting chaired by the head of state on February 12, an order was issued to decrease the price of diesel.

"Diesel fuel procurement represents a significant expense in agriculture. During the meeting, "Uzbekneftgaz" was tasked with producing 680,000 tons of diesel fuel in 2024 and supplying it to farms at a reduced price," Siddikov explained.

He also mentioned plans to increase diesel fuel production by an additional 200,000 tons compared to 2023.

"We will complete all necessary calculations within a week and take measures to reduce the price of diesel on the stock exchange by 15 percent," added the company's head.

It's worth noting that on February 12, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting focused on priority tasks and plans in the agricultural sector.
