142 "champion" entrepreneurs have emerged in Uzbekistan, each with more than 5,000 employees, an annual income exceeding 1 trillion soums, and taxes paid amounting to at least 100 billion soums. This was announced on December 20 during a videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The meeting focused on the results of the current year and the main plans for 2025 regarding comprehensive support for entrepreneurship, along with a dialogue with leading entrepreneurs.

It was reported that these enterprises have implemented the most advanced technologies and modern management systems. They independently secure affordable resources, repay loans and taxes on time, and have no overdue debts.

"Importantly, they strive for innovation every day and do not stop searching. They have become a multi-sector corporation and are making a significant contribution to the development of related industries,” the report says.

The President emphasized the importance of supporting other potential entrepreneurs and increasing the number of “champion” entrepreneurs.

It was also noted that such entrepreneurs may be directly provided with land and buildings, have state-owned enterprises transferred to their long-term management, and establish mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of sectors like the military industry, drone production, IT, and artificial intelligence.

It should be recalled that earlier it was reported that from January 1, land or state property in Uzbekistan will be sold without value-added tax, and the excise tax (10 percent) for mobile communications will be abolished.
