On September 22 of this year, at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, ambassadors from Central Asian countries met with Federica Mogherini, the rector of the leading European Diplomatic Academy and former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy from 2014 to 2019. They also met with the audience of the Diplomatic Academy. This event was reported by the "Dunyo" (World) news agency.

During the meeting, Federica Mogherini announced that the first Central Asia-EU summit is expected to take place in Uzbekistan next year. She stated, "Bilateral relations are continually expanding, and multilateral meetings of state leaders are occurring. The first Central Asian-European Union summit is expected to be held in Uzbekistan next year. Central Asian countries and the European Union are valuable partners for each other in the areas of trade and economy, sustainable development, security and the environment, implementation of reforms, strengthening of human rights and good governance, as well as regional cooperation and interdependence."

The European Commission is also preparing for an investment forum in Brussels in early 2024 and is focusing on the development of sustainable transport communications, particularly the Trans-Caspian Corridor. This corridor will connect Central Asia with Europe, providing additional access to foreign markets for the countries in the region. It is noted that the emphasis on financing for Central Asian and European Union countries has reached the highest level of cooperation.
