When will admission to grade 1 begin in Uzbekistan?

Admission to grade 1 in Uzbekistan for the 2025–2026 academic year will begin on June 20. This was announced by Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova.

According to the established procedure, the admission process will be conducted in two stages:

Stage 1: from June 20 to July 31 — for applicants residing within the designated microregion;

Stage 2: from August 1 to August 15 — for those applying outside the microregion.

Applications will be submitted electronically in districts and cities through state services. Parents can register and submit an application starting June 20 via the my.maktab.uz electronic platform.

“Dear parents, please watch the video instructions to learn how to identify the school assigned to your area using the my.maktab.uz platform,” the message said.

In regions where digital public services are not available, the information of admitted students will be entered into the ministry's electronic system (adm.maktab.uz).

According to the Law "On Education," children are admitted to school in the year they turn seven years old. This year, children born before December 31, 2018, are eligible for admission to the first grade.

It should also be noted that the submission of documents for admission to higher education institutions and academic lyceums has already begun.
