Uzbekistan’s seeding for the World Cup draw revealed

The draw ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place on December 5 this year. The Uzbekistan national football team will be placed in Pot 3 for the draw, according to “Football Meets Data.”

According to the source, along with Uzbekistan, the teams of Algeria, Paraguay, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Qatar — who have already secured qualification for the World Cup — will also be in Pot 3. The remaining teams still have a chance either to move up to Pot 2 or drop to Pot 4.

In addition, apart from the three host nations, Argentina, England, and Brazil have already secured their places in Pot 1. Uruguay, Japan, Iran, and Senegal will be in Pot 2, while Ghana and New Zealand will occupy Pot 4. The pot positions of the remaining teams will be determined based on the updated FIFA rankings in November.

For reference, the number of confirmed participants in the 2026 World Cup, which will be held across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, has reached 28.

It is worth noting that earlier reports confirmed the draw ceremony for the World Cup will take place on December 5 this year at the Kennedy Center in Washington.
