How Much Did the Uzbekistan Team Earn From the World Cup?

The World Boxing Championship among adults, held in the city of Tashkent, has concluded.  The Uzbek team emerged victorious, securing first place with an impressive haul of 5 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, totaling 9 medals overall.

The International Boxing Association determined Tashkent's World Cup to have the largest prize pool.  Following the championship, the gold medalists were awarded 200,000 US dollars, while the runners-up received 100,000 US dollars.  Athletes who clinched the third position were granted 50,000 US dollars.  Consequently, the members of the Uzbekistan team earned a total of 1.3 million US dollars from the World Cup.

Notably, the neighboring Kazakhstan team achieved the second-best performance.  With 4 gold and 1 silver medal, the Kazakhstani representatives were rewarded a total of 900,000 US dollars.  Meanwhile, Russian athletes, who secured 2 gold and 4 bronze medals, received a prize of 600,000 US dollars.
