Uzbekistan and Serbia’s First Ladies hold meeting

On October 28, the First Lady of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, met with the First Lady of the Republic of Serbia, Tamara Vucic, the Uzbek National News Agency (UzA) reported.

During the informal conversation, the sides exchanged views on strengthening ties between the peoples of the two countries, as well as on humanitarian and cultural cooperation.

It was expressed with confidence that the results of the talks between Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Aleksandar Vucic would elevate Uzbekistan–Serbia relations to an entirely new level and further consolidate friendship and mutual understanding between the nations.

Following the meeting, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Tamara Vucic attended a cultural program. The distinguished guest was shown an exhibition of Uzbekistan’s traditional applied arts and national ceremonies.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reaffirming the firm commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

It is worth noting that earlier, a formal welcoming ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy residence for Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. The two leaders held talks with the participation of official delegations. Following the negotiations, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Aleksandar Vucic signed a Joint Declaration.
