People's Artist of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Firudin Safarov passes away

8379Today, on July 26, Firudin Safarov, People's Artist of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, a renowned director, and a great master of the opera stage, passed away at the age of 91, as reported by the Ministry of Culture.
"Firudin Safarov will live forever in our hearts as a unique talent who left an indelible mark on the art of opera theater, a dedicated and selfless artist committed to his profession," the statement read.
Firudin Safarov was a Soviet, Azerbaijani, and Uzbek musician, director, and music teacher. He earned the titles of People's Artist of Azerbaijan (1992) and People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR (1986). He was also a laureate of the State Prize of the Uzbek SSR named after Hamza. Additionally, he served as a professor at the Tashkent State Conservatory.
