More than 10 documents signed between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

After the first session of the High Interstate Council between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, a ceremony was held for the signing of bilateral documents. The press service of the President of Uzbekistan provided this information.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan signed a Joint Statement, along with the decisions of the Supreme Interstate Council, which included the approval of the Strategic Partnership and Alliance Program for 2024-2034 and the establishment of the Council of Foreign Ministers.

As part of the visit, a series of documents covering a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues were signed. These include:

  • An intergovernmental agreement on the state border regime;
  • Protocols on additions to intergovernmental agreements concerning border crossing points and international road traffic;
  • A plan for intergovernmental cultural and humanitarian cooperation activities in 2024-2025;
  • An agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture;
  • An agreement on cooperation in the field of healthcare;
  • A protocol on cooperation between the Ministries of Economy;
  • Protocols on cooperation in the regulation of natural monopolies and competition policy;
  • A memorandum establishing the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan Council of Experts;
  • An agreement on mutual understanding between the Committee of International Relations and Friendship of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Atandastar Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • A practical action plan for expanding cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres between the Tashkent city administration and the Astana city administration for 2024-2026.

It is also worth noting that earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the "Golden Kiran" ("Golden Eagle") Order of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Additionally, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to implement investment projects and trade agreements worth $7 billion.
