Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will sign an agreement on the border

A draft agreement on border demarcation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was prepared. This was reported by the "Zakon" publication.

It follows from the document that the starting point of the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan state border is at the junction of the state borders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

The last point of the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan state border is the junction of the state borders of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The length of the demarcated line of the state border is 2356,666 km.  The parties installed a total of 1301 border markers along the state border.

The parties have installed a total of 1672 border posts, including the main ones - 868, of which the Kazakh side - 437, the Uzbekistan side - 431; intermediate border posts - 804, of which the Kazakh side - 428, the Uzbekistan side - 376.

After the agreement comes into force, the parties will conduct a joint inspection of the state border line every 10 years.  According to the agreement of the parties, the inspection conditions can be changed, as well as a joint inspection of the state borderline can be carried out in its sections.

According to the document, none of the parties can unilaterally establish a border or other symbols denoting the state border that is not specified in the agreement.
The draft of the decree of the head of state on the signing of the agreement was submitted for consideration by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
