Documents signed between Uzbekistan and Germany

After the negotiations in Samarkand with the participation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, a Joint Declaration was adopted. This was reported by the President's press service.

During the official visit, eight bilateral documents were signed, including:

  • An Intergovernmental Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership in Migration and Mobility
  • An Intergovernmental Declaration on Cooperation in the Field of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry
  • An Intergovernmental Declaration on Cooperation in the Field of Sustainable Use of Water Resources within the "Green Central Asia" Initiative
  • A Joint Declaration on Cooperation in the Field of Critical Minerals
  • An Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Transport
  • A Memorandum on Cooperation in the Field of Climate Change within the Framework of the Paris Agreement

Additionally, a Technological Partnership and Industrial Cooperation Program for 2024-2026 was adopted, and several agreements and contracts were concluded between leading enterprises of Uzbekistan and Germany.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also welcomed representatives of the country's leading investment, industrial, and trade companies accompanying Chancellor Scholz. A meeting with German business circles is scheduled for September 16.

We remind you that on September 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz paid an official visit to Uzbekistan. President Mirziyoyev welcomed Scholz at Registan Square.
