Time of Uzbekistan-Uruguay match announced

Earlier, it was reported that the Uzbekistan national football team, preparing for the FIFA World Cup, would face Uruguay in a friendly match this October. The date, time, and venue of the match have now been confirmed, the Uzbekistan Football Association announced.

According to the statement, a meeting was held in Malaysia on September 12, with both teams participating to discuss organizational matters related to the match. It was decided that the game will take place on October 13 at 17:45 Tashkent time (20:45 local time) at the ’’Hang Jebat’’ stadium.

The Uzbekistan and Uruguay national teams first met in 2018 in a friendly match at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo. In that match, Uzbekistan lost 3-0. At the time, Timur Kapadze was serving as interim head coach of the Uzbek side.

The second encounter took place in 2019 during the ’’China Cup’’ friendly tournament, where Uruguay once again defeated Uzbekistan 3-0.
