For the first time in Uzbekistan’s history, the State Security Service (SSS) has established a Call Center to swiftly handle inquiries from individuals and legal entities regarding matters within its jurisdiction.

The newly launched Call Center can be reached at the short number 1520. It will receive reports and inquiries on various security concerns, including:

  • Threats to Uzbekistan’s constitutional system, sovereignty, and territorial integrity;
  • Risks to border security and defense forces;
  • National security concerns in the military and defense-industrial sectors;
  • Terrorism, extremism, and organized criminal networks;
  • Illegal circulation of weapons, narcotics, and psychotropic substances;
  • Corruption and economic crimes that threaten national interests;
  • Propaganda of ethnic, religious, and national hatred;
  • Other offenses pose risks to Uzbekistan’s security.

Under Article 345 of Uzbekistan’s Criminal Procedure Code, the Call Center also accepts reports on specific criminal offenses, including:

  • War propaganda (Article 150);
  • Loss of state or military secrets (Article 163);
  • Customs violations (Article 182);
  • Illegal entry/exit from Uzbekistan (Article 223);
  • Smuggling offenses (Article 246).

"Authorities guarantee full confidentiality for those submitting reports," the report states.

Until now, Uzbekistan’s State Security Service had no dedicated Call Center, making this a historic advancement in national security administration.
