The Uzbekistan Super League has gone on an extended break in preparation for the upcoming World Cup. The season will resume on July 20.

According to the 2026 regulations of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League, the Super League season officially paused on May 4. Starting May 6, the national team will begin a training camp with locally based players and will play matches against leading Super League clubs on May 10, 17, and 24.

Due to the extended break in May, June, and July, matches of the Uzbekistan Cup are scheduled to take place during the remainder of May.

The second half of the Super League season will begin after the World Cup on July 20. The final round of the league is scheduled for December 3. Clubs not involved in the relegation playoffs or the Uzbekistan Cup semifinals will go on break after that date. The four relegation playoff matches will be organized within a short period and held centrally in Tashkent.

For reference, Fergana’s Neftchi currently leads the Super League standings with 28 points. It is followed by the capital’s Pakhtakor with 26 points, while Bukhara holds third place with 20 points.
