Uzbekistan will help Russia that is under sanctions to produce aircraft

16112Uzbekistan may help Russia to resume production of the Tu-214 aircraft. Opportunities for cooperation were discussed today, 23 March, at a round table on investment and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan. “Sputnik” reported this.
“Today it was decided to resume production of Tu-214. The project is difficult. We believe in mutual cooperation (with Uzbekistan.) in this project”, –Assistant President of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov said.
He added that the project requires a joint production of aircraft parts.
According to Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Khurram Teshaboev, agreements have already been reached on expanding the list of components produced at the Tashkent Mechanical Plant.
Plans to revive serial production of the medium-haul passenger liner Tu-214 in Russia appeared after the West imposed sanctions against the aviation industry of the country.
Earlier we reported that the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Uzbekistan on a practical visit.
