Election campaigns for Uzbekistan Presidency set to begin

5860TASHKENT - The start date for the highly anticipated election campaigns for the presidency of Uzbekistan has been officially announced. Today, on June 5, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan registered four candidates who have been approved by political parties to run for the prestigious position. With preparations well underway, the election campaigns are scheduled to commence on June 7 of this year.
During a pivotal meeting held by the Central Election Commission, the following candidates were officially registered to compete for the presidency: Ulugbek Ilyasovich Inoyatov from the People's Democratic Party, Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev from the Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Robakhon Anvarovna Makhmudova from the Social-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Adolat," and Abdushukur Khudoykulovich Hamzayev from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.
