Uzbekistan to face Urugvay in October

The Uzbekistan national football team will face Uruguay in a friendly match as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup, the Uzbekistan football association reported.
The friendly match is scheduled to take place on October 13 of this year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The national teams of Uzbekistan and Uruguay first met in a friendly match in 2018 at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, where Uzbekistan lost 3–0. At that time, the team was led on an interim basis by Temur Kapadze.
Their second encounter was in 2019 during the “China Cup” friendly tournament, in which Uruguay once again defeated Uzbekistan 3–0.
