Uzbekistan can start exporting rice to Egypt

On 24 November, the employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Egypt were informed about the launch of rice export from Uzbekistan to Egypt at a meeting with the Chairman of the Food Chamber of the Egyptian Industry Association, Mahmoud al-Basyoumi.  This was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is noted that the import of citrus fruits and other products from Egypt to Uzbekistan can be started instead.

During the meeting, the Egyptian side invited the head and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, as well as large Uzbek companies operating in the field, to participate in the international exhibition "Food Africa 2022" to be held in Cairo between 5-7 December.

For information, the Food Chamber of the Egyptian Industry Association unites more than 18,000 companies operating in the field.  This system consists of 9 sections, such as sugar, sweets, milk and milk products, juices, vegetables and fruits, oil, grains, and spices.
