People's Artist of Uzbekistan Tolqin Tojiyev passes away

People's Artist of Uzbekistan Tolqin Tojiyev has passed away at the age of 88. The Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater announced this.

He was considered a master artist of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater and the king of Uzbek dubbing art. He provided dubbing voices for the following films:

- "Sword and Shield" (USSR film, 1960)  
- "Scarlet Sails" (USSR film, 1962)  
- "Where is Ahmed?" (Azerbaijani film, 1963)  
- "Ayoz Bobo" (USSR film, 1964)  
- "Operation I and Other Adventures of Shurik" (USSR film, 1965)  
- "Arshin mol olon" (Azerbaijani film, 1965)  
- "Those times have passed" (Georgian film, 1965)  
- "Avoid the car" (USSR film, 1966)  
- "The Magic Lamp of Alovuddin" (USSR film, 1967)  
- "The Prisoner of the Caucasus" (USSR film, 1967)  
- "The Finist sarlochin" (USSR film, 1967)  

Tojiyev is also known for his roles in the cinema, including:  
- Jurjoni in "Abu Ali Ibn Sino"
- Hakim in "The Second Spring"
- Mahmud in "The Talk in the neighborhood"
- Quddus in "The Five brothers"
- Amon in "The Border passes here" (3 parts)  
- Togayev in "Who are you?"
- Kadyrov in "The Black fish trail" (5 parts, "Lenfilm")  
- Hasanov in "Life in your hands"

He is also known as the host of the radio program "Smile" and the satirical radio magazine "Decoy".

Tolqin Tojiyev was awarded the Order of "Dustlik (Friendship)" in 1997.
