Today, from 16 March, checkpoints of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the border with the Republic of Tajikistan will be reorganized. This was stated in the decision of the Republican Special Commission on the preparation of a program of measures to prevent the penetration and spread of coronavirus in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, it was announced that international passenger rail services between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as passenger transportation activities on buses on a parity basis, would be resumed under strict quarantine conditions.

In addition, in the near future, the system of electronic visa processing and issuance of foreign citizens for entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan (E-VISA) will be restored and launched, as well as, the call center on the provision of services for the rapid and high-quality exchange of information with tourists from countries far abroad will be launched.
