A number of anti-COVID requirements have been suspended by the Republican Special Commission for the preparation of a program of measures to prevent the penetration and dissemination of coronavirus in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Today, on 16 March, the Commission abolished the requirement for visitors to Uzbekistan to have a negative PCR test result for coronavirus infection, which was submitted at least 48 hours before a visit to the country.
Henceforth, persons coming to Uzbekistan from foreign countries will not be required to submit the results of a PCR test or a rapid antigen test for coronavirus infection in the presence of a valid vaccination certificate or passport.
Instead, if visitors do not have a proper vaccination certificate or passport in the appropriate order, they must submit a PCR test for coronavirus infection submitted at least 72 hours prior to their visit to the country, or a certificate of negative result for antigen testing (electronic QR code) at the border crossing point.
