The checkpoint «Kazygurt» on the border of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was closed for a day. This is reported by the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.

"From 6 October 2022, at 09:00am to 7 October 2022, at 09:00am, the checkpoints "Qazigurt" (Kazakhstan) and "S. Najimov" (Uzbekistan) for the passage of citizens and motor vehicles will be closed," the committee said.

The crossing point will be closed due to the carrying out of hydraulic tests of gas pipelines passing between the crossing points of the two countries by the joint-stock company «Uztransgaz».

The remaining checkpoints on the Kazakh-Uzbek border will continue to work as usual.

«We ask carriers and all those wishing to cross the border in advance to plan their route subject to restrictions», - warned the committee.
