Uzbekistan signed a protocol on security with Kyrgyzstan

3905Uzbekistan has signed a Consultation Protocol aimed at expanding cooperation in the field of security with Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by UzA (National Information Center of Uzbekistan).
The second round of consultation between the office of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Secretariat of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, established in Tashkent, has ended.
During the consultation, the issue of developing cooperation in the fight against threats and dangers related to regional security, such as international terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, and illegal drug trafficking, was discussed.
The parties confirmed that they are committed to further supporting constructive cooperation and are ready to develop the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyz partnership in the field of security, including strengthening the contractual and legal framework and coordinating the mechanism of joint practical efforts.
At the end of the meeting, a Consultation Protocol was signed, which defined specific directions and measures aimed at further expanding and deepening cooperation in the field of security.
