Uzbekistan’s wanted suspect “Gryaz” detained in Turkey

A man known by the nickname “Gryaz,” who is accused of committing a number of crimes as the leader of a criminal group in Uzbekistan, has been detained in Turkey. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this.
The suspect, identified as Y.M. (born in 1993) and known as “Gryaz,” had been wanted in connection with multiple crimes allegedly committed in Uzbekistan as a criminal group leader. He had reportedly been hiding from investigators in Turkey.
He is accused under Article 112, Part 2 (threatening to kill or use violence), Article 164, Part 4 (robbery), Article 165, Part 3 (extortion), Article 173, Part 2, and Article 242, Part 1 (establishing a criminal organization) of Uzbekistan’s Criminal Code. He had been placed on the wanted list in 2023 by the Yashnobod District Department of Internal Affairs.
The Ministry added that the suspect was returned to Uzbekistan on December 5 of this year and handed over to investigative authorities.
