The Republic of Uzbekistan has condemned Israel’s strikes on residential areas in Doha, calling them a violation of the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of the State of Qatar. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan stated the matter.

“Such actions are absolutely unacceptable and constitute a serious disregard for the UN Charter and the fundamental norms and principles of international law,” the ministry said.

The statement emphasized that Uzbekistan consistently opposes the use of force in international relations and any steps that further escalate the already complex situation in the Middle East.

Earlier, it was reported that Israel had targeted the Qatari capital Doha in an attempt to eliminate Hamas leaders. Axios correspondent Barak Ravid, citing Israeli officials, said the explosions were part of an assassination attempt on Hamas figures.

According to a Reuters source, blasts were heard in the Alfardan Towers skyscraper in Doha’s West Bay district. Another witness reported hearing around four explosions near Hamad General Hospital in the Al-Sadd area of central Doha.

The Israeli military later confirmed that the explosions in Doha were the result of an operation against Hamas leaders and senior Palestinian officials. It noted that the strike involved “precision-guided munitions and additional intelligence information to minimize damage to people not directly involved in the target.”

Following the incident, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also issued a statement strongly condemning the Israeli military operation in Doha.
