Kuvandik Sanokulov elected head of Uzbekistan Handball Federation

2868Kuvandik Sanoqulovich Sanokulov, General Director of the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine, has been elected as the new head of the Uzbekistan Handball Federation. This announcement was made by the federation’s press service.
The election took place during an extraordinary reporting and election conference held at the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Uzbekistan, with the participation of the Ministry of Sports and NOC leadership.
At the event, Sanokulov, who holds the title of Hero of Uzbekistan, was nominated for the position of chairman. Delegates at the conference unanimously approved his candidacy, resulting in his official appointment as the new chairman of the Uzbekistan Handball Federation.
Kuvandik Sanokulov was born in 1952 in the Samarkand region. He graduated from the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute with a degree in metallurgical engineering and holds a doctorate in technical sciences. Sanokulov is also a deputy of the Council of People's Deputies in Tashkent and Navoi regions, as well as a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that recently, Major General Shukhrat Kholmukhammedov, Minister of Defense, was elected chairman of the Shooting Sports Federation.
