The Uzbekistan national football team, participating in the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, will be without "Pakhtakor" midfielder Abdurauf Buriyev for the upcoming match against Iran. This was confirmed by the press service of the Football Association of Uzbekistan.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who was called up for the national team, is unable to take part in today's training session due to an injury. In his place, fellow "Pakhtakor" player Muhammadkadir Hamraliyev has been called up to join the team.

For context, Uzbekistan is set to face Iran on October 10 in the third round of World Cup qualifying, followed by a match against the UAE on October 15 in Tashkent. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 19:00.
