Today, on April 15, the joint military training exercise "Dostlik" between the units of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Defense and India commenced at the "Termiz" military training ground, as reported by "Dunyo" AA.

This marks the fifth iteration of military exercises between the two nations, with "Dostlik" being conducted twice annually in each country since 2019.

Differing from previous iterations, this joint exercise involves 60 military personnel from both parties, alongside Air Force specialists, aiming to enhance coordination and cohesion in combating terrorism and other operations.

The exercise's primary focus lies in improving synergy among military units during collaborative counterterrorism efforts.

India's media extensively covers these joint military exercises in Uzbekistan, with various outlets such as state TV channels, the Asian News International news agency, The Economic Times newspaper, The Print news portal, and others highlighting their historical significance and importance.

Aligned with the cooperation plan between the defense agencies of both nations, these exercises are scheduled to continue until April 28th.
