In the past ten months, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $54.36 billion, according to a report from the statistics agency. This represents a 6.7% increase compared to the same period last year, driven by a significant rise in exports ($22.42 billion, +9.6%) and a moderate increase in imports ($31.92 billion, +4.7%).
In October alone, Uzbekistan sold gold worth $833.4 million. Since the start of the year, the country's total gold exports have exceeded $6.6 billion, although this marks a 3.5% decrease compared to the previous year.
In addition to gold, industrial goods continue to be a major component of Uzbekistan's exports, with revenue from these goods reaching $3.4 billion (+0.8%) since the beginning of the year.
