13725Information about the cancellation of flight LLM9205/9206 of the "Yamal" airline on the Moscow-Namangan-Moscow route was spread on social networks. "Uzbekistan Airports" commented on this situation.
Yesterday 13 October, a plane of the Russian airline "Yamal", with 220 passengers on board, was scheduled to fly from Domodedovo airport to Namangan at 15:40pm Moscow time. This charter flight was not carried out because the airline did not send an appropriate request to the "Uzaviatsiya" agency, the controlling body for the implementation of air travel.
Namangan International Airport had nothing to do with the cancellation of this flight. The airport staff provided detailed information on the situation to the passengers who were supposed to fly from Namangan to Moscow at 23:00pm Tashkent time.
The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan also explained the situation.
It is noted that to ensure compliance with the rights of passengers and the obligations of the carrier, the agency "Ozaviatsiya" will stop the practice of selling airline tickets to airlines without obtaining the appropriate permission from the authorized body "Ozaviatsiya" for charter flights to the airports of Uzbekistan. A warning letter has been sent.
"Yamal" airline company, despite this warning, grossly violated the requirements and organized the sale of air tickets for charter flights on the Moscow-Namangan-Moscow route on 13 October this year, without obtaining the appropriate permission.
As a result, passengers arrived at the airport at the time specified in the air ticket, and the non-fulfillment of the flight in the specified direction led to social tension among the passengers.
Nevertheless, taking into account the situation, the Uzaviatsiya agency offered the airline to issue a request for permission to operate this flight immediately, but the airline refused to carry out the flight because the crew's working hours were over and there were no other crews.
In this regard, the "Uzaviatsiya" agency sent a warning to "Yamal" airline company about the necessity of strict compliance with the requirements of the Republic of Uzbekistan when organizing charter flights. It is noted that in the event of such a situation being repeated by the airline, the measures established by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be taken by the agency "Uzaviatsiya".
