We only need to win the competition in our country - Hasanboy Dosmatov

A boxer from Uzbekistan, champion of the Rio 2016 Olympics, Hasanboy Dosmatov, shared his thoughts on the preparation of Uzbek boxers for the World Championship, which will be held in Tashkent in May this year.  The athlete discussed this in an interview with KALAMPIR.UZ.

“Currently, the main attention is focused on the preparations for the World Championship to be held in Tashkent.  We started the first training sessions in January.  We participate in preparatory tournaments before the World Cup.  The fact that the World Cup is being held in our home is a great encouragement for us.  We only need to win the competition in our country , that’s why we will try with all the possibilities,” says Hasanboy Dosmatov.

For information, Hasanboy Dosmatov, in addition to being a champion in amateur boxing at the Olympics, also won at the Universiade and the Asian Championship.

It should be recalled that earlier, the head coach of the Uzbekistan national boxing team, Tolqin Qilichev, expressed his opinion about the athletes’ preparation for the upcoming tournament.
