Usman Azim honored with the prestigious “Alash” award in Kazakhstan

3355People's Poet of Uzbekistan Usman Azim was awarded the international "Alash" prize in the field of literature of Kazakhstan. UzA reported this.
It was reported that the award was presented to the writer at a solemn event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan in Almaty.
This award was also presented to such prominent writers as Sultan Rayev, Secretary General of the International Turkic Culture Organization (TURKSOY), Anor Rzayev, Chairman of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, Musa Kozim Arijan, Chairman of the Writers' Union of Turkey, and Arslan Koyshiyev, People's Writer of Kyrgyzstan.
For information, Usman Azim was born in 1950 in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region. In 1972, he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University - now the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. He came to the attention of the literary community in 1979 with his first book, "Understanding Man." After that, the poet published poetry collections such as "State" (1979), "Consequence" (1980), "Mirror" (1983), "Picture Fragments" (1985), "Lesson" (1985), "Second April" (1987), "Bakhshiyona" (1989), "Strange Dragon" (1990), "The Pain of Awakening" (1991), "Gussa" (1994), "Uzun Tun" (1994), "Even if There is, There is No" (1995), "Election" (1995), "Autumn" (2001), and prose collections such as "Magic" (2003), "The Life of a Poet" (2010), "Words" (2020), and prose collections such as "Collage" (2018), consisting of prose and verse.
In addition, Usman Azim is considered the author of about three thousand poetic works. He was awarded the State Prize of Georgia named after Vladimir Mayakovsky (1982). He was awarded the Order of "Friendship" (1998).
We would like to remind you that earlier, by the decision of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the People's Poet of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Sayyid was awarded the Order of "Honor" (Hurmat).
