From 28 February to 5 March of the current year, 14 flights have been organized for the transportation of Uzbek citizens who were evacuated from Ukraine -to Uzbekistan. As a result, 3,245 citizens have been returned to Uzbekistan. Yusuf Kabuljanov, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported this.
It is confirmed that on 4-5 March, 666 citizens of Uzbekistan, including 89 women, 59 adults and 8 infants, were transported from Ukraine through Katowice airport in Poland.
14 flights have been organized and 3,245 Uzbek citizens returned to the country from 28 February to 5 March, A number of flights have also been scheduled for today.
Reportedly, the Uzbek Embassy in Kyiv evacuated 20 Uzbekistan citizens who are taking medical treatment in Truskavets, Ukraine. The issue of opening a «green corridor is being discussed with the administration of Sumy province for the evacuation of 25 Uzbek students studying there.
“The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ukraine is in constant contact with our compatriots. Diplomats are located in different corners of Ukraine, including in the areas where the fighting is taking place, and evacuating our citizens”.
