6639Ukraine still hasn't received a cent for the $17 billion emergency recovery plan. President Volodymyr Zelensky said this at the international conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Berlin.
"We have not yet received a single cent for the recovery, and I ask you to make the necessary decisions to speed up the process of involving partners in our recovery," Zelensky said.
During his speech, he also noted that more than a third of the country's energy sector was destroyed by missile strikes.
"Russia is destroying everything to make it difficult for us to survive the winter," he says.
At the conference, Vladimir Zelensky asked the leaders of the European Union for help in covering the budget deficit of 38 billion dollars in 2023.
"At this conference, we have to decide to help Ukraine to cover the budget deficit next year. This is a lot of money, the deficit is 38 billion dollars," he added.
Let's recall that at this conference German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke about the need to create a Marshall Plan to restore Ukraine.
For information, today, October 24, the 5th German-Ukrainian economic forum was opened in Berlin. The main topics of the event will be the current situation in Ukraine and Germany's support for the reconstruction of the country.
