Teacher assailant from Syrdarya district to receive psychiatric care

A few days ago, it was reported that a citizen entered the classroom during a lesson at School No. 1 in the Syrdarya district, insulted the teacher, and slapped her. The woman who assaulted the teacher has now been admitted to a psychiatric hospital, according to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.

An administrative case was initiated in line with the relevant provisions of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and was heard by the Syrdarya District Court for Criminal Cases.

During the trial, the court received a psychiatric examination report from the regional psychiatric hospital. The report stated that citizen G.Kh. suffered from a mild degree of mental retardation and was unable to be held accountable for her actions at the time of the offense.

Based on this information, the court ruled to place citizen G.Kh. under compulsory treatment in a general psychiatric hospital, and she was subsequently admitted to the facility.

It should be noted that she had previously apologized for her inappropriate behavior towards the teacher.
