Official news: The average monthly salary has reached $270 in Uzbekistan

In January-March of the current year, the average monthly salary nominally calculated in Uzbekistan has amounted to 3.42 million som (270 US dollars).  This is 19.1% more than the relevant period of the last year. It is hard to believe, but the State Statistics Committee reports this.

The emolument of workers by the types of economic activity are as follows:

• banking, insurance, leasing, and credit-intermediation activity– 8.42 million som (USD 700);
• information and communications – 6.5 million som (570 USD);
• transportation and storage – 4.55 million som (400 USD);
• industry – 4.46 million som (400 USD);
• construction – 4.15 million som (370 USD);
• trade – 3.51 million som (US$310);
• education – 2.51 million som (US$220);
• Healthcare and social services – 2.32 million som (US$200).

By the rates of the regions, the highest rates of salaries are in Tashkent (5.21 million som or 460 USD) and Navoi region (4.73 million som or 420 USD).

The lowest figures were recorded in Surkhandarya (2.61 million som or $230) and Fergana (2.59 million som or $230) regions.
