It is planned to close the registry offices in four regions of Uzbekistan and the capital Tashkent. This is stated in the draft decision of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further improve the work of the civil registry offices”.

The draft decision provides for the establishment and abolition of civil registry offices by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan in agreement with the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In addition, all registry offices in the regions of Samarkand, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya, and the city of Tashkent are going to be closed, and their staff units will be transferred to other districts (municipal) civil registry offices.

In connection with the errors in civil notes registration, citizens are exempt from collecting coat of arms payment for the issuance of duplicate certificates by the civil registry offices.

Moreover, the criteria for determining the number of employees of civil registry officers are being amended taking into account the introduction of extraterritorial civil registration.

The project will be discussed until 25 June of the current year.
