6460Within the framework of the Samarkand Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, more good work was done - a tree-planting ceremony was held in all participating countries.
It is known that the organization pays special attention to ecological issues, which is the most urgent problem of today and takes practical measures to protect nature. In particular, the "Green Space" program is being implemented in Uzbekistan at the initiative of the President. There are also such projects in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Hungary.
Samarkand united these noble actions. After the main events of the summit, the leaders of the Turkic countries visited Registan Square.
"Standing on the magnificent Registan Square, which has witnessed many historical events, we are symbolically stepping into a new stage of the civilization of the Turkic world. Continuing the age-old traditions of our great ancestors, we are starting another auspicious initiative," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was noted that tree planting is a symbol of the value of the Turkic nations and the common aspirations of today.
"It is no exaggeration to say that all these works are a clear symbol of our common aspirations for the common development and prosperity of the Turkic peoples. We highly appreciate the fact that today the respected leaders of the Turkic world are planting saplings on this blessed land with their own hands. After all, these sprouts are trees of life, friendship and mutual trust, spirituality and gardens of the future," said the head of Uzbekistan.
After that, the leaders of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Hungary planted saplings in the garden of the complex.
The ceremony was shown via video link in the capitals of these countries and regions of our country. Thousands of saplings were planted there. In this way, the movement of increasing tree plantations gained an international scale.
