Responsibility for making noise at night is increasing

Responsibility for making noise at night and disturbing citizens' peace and normal rest is being strengthened in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

It is noted that the draft law "On the protection of the population from the harmful effects of noise" was considered in the first reading at the next session of the parliament. The draft law establishes a strict list of actions that disturb the peace and normal rest of citizens, as well as defines the time period during which it is not allowed to disturb the peace and normal rest of citizens.

According to the draft law, at night—between 23:00 and 06:00—and on weekends and statutory non-working days from 22:00 to 09:00, disturbing the peace and normal rest of citizens would result in strengthened administrative responsibility.

It is determined that this situation will result in a fine of three to five times the amount of the base calculation for citizens, and ten to fifteen times for officials. In practice, the amount of fines for these offenses is 113,000 soums for citizens and 113,000 to 226,000 soums for officials.
