The President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev will pay a working visit to Russia.  Ruslan Jeldibai, the Press Secretary of the President, announced this on his Facebook page.

“The head of state will pay a practical visit to Russia from 8th to 9th of May.  In the Tver region, the president will visit the Rzhev monument and pay his respects to the soldiers who died in one of the 100th and 101st rifle divisions of Kazakhstan,” he said.

It was reported that Tokayev will also visit the mass grave in the village of Trubino, where his uncle Kasim Boltayev is buried.  About 22,000 soldiers and officers conscripted from Kazakhstan took part in the Battle of Rzhev.

“On May 9, at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev will participate in the parade dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.  “The Russian side has invited the leaders of the CIS countries to the solemn event,” the report said.

Also, according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will visit Moscow today, 8th May, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.  Pashinyan plans to participate in events dedicated to Victory Day.

It is worth noting that until this moment, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Japarov arrived in Moscow to watch the parade with Putin on the Victory Day in Russia.

Also, the President of Russia invited President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to celebrate the Victory Parade together.

 It was also reported that on the eve of 9th May, Putin congratulated all the heads of state of the CIS, except for the heads of state of Moldova and Georgia.
