Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent a letter of gratitude to Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In the letter, Tokayev expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended to the Kazakh delegation during his state visit to Uzbekistan on 14–16 November. The information was reported by the Akorda press service.
The letter notes the historic significance of the visit, emphasizing that it has given a strong boost to strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
President Tokayev also highly praised the organization of the Seventh Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders held in Tashkent. According to him, meaningful discussions across all areas of regional cooperation, important decisions and documents adopted during the meeting, as well as Azerbaijan’s accession as a full participant, have turned the forum into an event of strategic importance.
As reported earlier, Tokayev arrived in Tashkent on 14 November, where he was personally welcomed at the airport by President Mirziyoyev.
Following the arrival, an official welcoming ceremony was held for the Kazakh leader. Tokayev and Mirziyoyev held talks, after which both presidents participated in the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
