In the Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions, individuals who offered to secure educational placements for a fee have been apprehended. This information was reported by the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.
According to the department, an investigation was conducted by the Samarkand regional branch to safeguard the rights and interests of citizens. It was discovered that N.M., who had previous convictions for fraud and other offenses, deceived citizens X.A., D.J., and G.J. by falsely pledging to enroll their children at the Tashkent Medical Academy with the assistance of influential acquaintances. He fraudulently obtained $8,000 and 43.5 million soums.
Additionally, during a swift operation carried out by the Samarkand city department in collaboration with the State Security Service, a person named Sh.S. was apprehended with physical evidence when he received $2,000 in exchange for facilitating the enrollment of M.I. at the private higher education institution "Renaissance" in Tashkent through his connections.
During an operational event coordinated by the Surkhandarya Regional Office of the Department, in collaboration with the State Security Service and the Internal Affairs Department, an individual named M.E. promised to assist citizen N.N. in gaining admission to a higher educational institution in Tashkent by providing forged documents claiming he had studied at a higher educational institution in Russia or Tajikistan. He was apprehended with physical evidence when he received 8 billion soums in exchange for his services.
The department stated, "Regarding these cases, criminal cases have been initiated under Articles 168 (fraud) and 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigative efforts are ongoing.
