The World Championship will be held in Tashkent

It was announced that the World Championship matches will be held in Tashkent between 1-14 May 2023.  On 7 November, President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlyov stated this during a press conference.

"I believe that the men's world boxing championship will be held at a high level and will be one of the best in history.  I was in Uzbekistan and saw how competitions are organized there.  Their professionalism and love for boxing will be an example for many countries.  I am looking forward to seeing the new champions in Tashkent," Kremlyov said.

According to reports, the prize fund of the boxing world championship hosted by Tashkent will be a record amount of 5.2 million US dollars.

In the competition, 200,000 US dollars will be awarded to the first place, 100,000 US dollars to the second place, and 50,000 dollars to the bronze medal winners.
