A person who committed thefts in mosques within Tashkent has been sentenced to six years in prison. This information was reported by UzA.
The Chilonzor district court in Tashkent handled the case of a citizen identified as I.O., who was accused of theft.
Reportedly, I.O. stole 60,000 soums and a Samsung A24 phone from a jacket pocket in the restroom of a mosque situated in the "Abu-Sahi" shopping center in Tashkent before leaving the premises.
Recently, he was seen taking a Samsung A23 phone from the ablution room of Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf Jome Masjid.
As per the court's ruling, I.O. has been sentenced to six years of imprisonment.
