Shofayzi street in Tashkent closed for nearly 1.5 months

From March 21 to May 1, 2025, Shofayzi Street in the Shaykhantohur district of Tashkent will be closed to motor traffic, the city administration’s press service reported.  

The closure is part of the "Daryo Boyi Business City" project, which involves covering the open collectors of Janggoh, Chukurkoprik, and Zakhariq, as well as constructing a new highway, green spaces, pedestrian walkways, and bicycle lanes.  

“We ask drivers to use alternative routes and apologize for the inconvenience,” the statement read.  

It is worth noting that on March 20, 2025, several streets in Tashkent were temporarily closed due to the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan match, part of the 7th round of Group A in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
