Mouse crawled around a cafe in Tashkent

A video circulating on social media shows a mouse roaming around the "Minor" metro station in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent. The Tashkent city sanitary-epidemiological department has provided an update on the situation.

According to the department, staff from the district branch of the Sanepid Committee conducted on-site investigations. Given the presence of a nearby cafe selling sweets, decontamination measures, including disinfection, disinsection, and derivatization, were carried out in the area.

"The responsibility for street disinfection, cleaning of irrigation networks, and timely waste removal falls to district improvement departments. Specifically, decontamination of multi-story buildings and business premises is managed by disinfection organizations under contract," the report states.

Earlier, a similar video showing rats near the Chilanzar metro station in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent also circulated on social media. The issue was attributed to improper waste disposal by citizens.
