Fire breaks out at paper workshop in Tashkent (video)

A fire has broken out in the territory of a paper recycling workshop located in Tashkent’s Yangihayot district, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. 

It was stated that at 13:29, the Tashkent city Department of Emergency Situations received a report that paper waste and dry grass were burning in an open area on the premises of a paper recycling workshop, located on Raihon Street in the “Chortoq” neighborhood of the Yangihayot district.

According to the report, the fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 13:33, contained the blaze by 13:52, and fully extinguished it by 14:16. A total of eight fire and rescue crews from the Tashkent city Department of Emergency Situations were involved. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

It is worth noting that earlier, a fire was reported at a livestock products shop in the Bostanliq district of the Tashkent region. As a result of the incident, the roof and interior of the shop, covering an estimated area of 70 square meters, were damaged by fire. No injuries were reported.
